Corner boards, designed to protect the vulnerable corners of palletized products, can be a difficult challenge. Most often these corner boards are manually positioned on the corners of the pallet loads and then stretch wrap film is used to hold them in place. Not only does this require additional labor to handle the materials, but it also puts operators in close proximity to moving machinery. The ICON pallet board system use a small robot to position the boards on each corner while the stretch wrapper rotates the load and secures the board with the stretch film. The end result is a fast, efficient and safe way to apply corner boards.
